It is possible to obtain chilled or frozen semen from any part of the UK, Europe or world wide.

In accordance with DEFRA regulations all imported semen MUST be accompanied by the appropriate Health Certificate. Semen that is received without the appropriate Health Certificate CANNOT be used but mare owners will still be liable for the costs of preparation for AI etc.

Once you have selected the stallion you wish to use, please check with the stallion owner or agent if the semen is available as chilled or frozen. Availability, cost and success rate can vary and may affect the decision to use chilled or frozen semen. It is also advisable to discuss the matter with us at Talgrwn Stud Services as we may be able to advise you as to which is most appropriate for your mare.
